OBJECTIVE
Build on the adage that food is about sharing, and challenge Ontario localvores to visit their local farmers market between July and October to buy and share Ontario grown foods with their local food bank - right at the market
SOLUTION
Leverage the participation of celebrity chef Anna Olson, a well-known champion of the Ontario local food movement, and execute a province-wide media relations campaign that promotes the Buy Local, Share Local program at 25 farmers markets in 15 communities across Ontario

Extensive media coverage across Ontario, including 43 print and online media stories, 15 live radio interviews, viral buzz across Facebook and Twitter, and more than 3.5 million audience impressions; more than 280,000 pounds of fresh food donated to local food banks in 15 Ontario communities
